Friday & Saturday evenings Greedy Granbury Green, the towns big shot banker, has been bumped off and Marshal Jim Courtright may need a crystal ball to figure out who done it. Could it be Dusty Muddwater, the fastidiously clean and directionally challenged prospector with gold in his future? Or Tatyana, the self-proclaimed Queen of the Gypsies, who read more than Mr. Greens palms. Then theres Clarice Green, wife of the dearly departed, who may have taken her horse training skills a bit too far. Or maybe Mortimer Morton, the local undertaker, had an extra casket to fill. All predictions indicate chaos and laughter in the immediate future as you help the Marshal read the signs and solve the crime.
What is Lone Star Murder Mystery?
An exciting, interactive, comedy murder mystery production performed at the Gaylord Texan Resort which includes a gourmet dinner. Our critically acclaimed production is set in the 1880's when Fort Worth was a young city and had become a major rail head for moving cattle north to market. Cattle herds, cowboys, drifters, gamblers and anyone wishing to make a dollar in this wild boom town could be found on Exchange Avenue in Fort Worth. For murder mystery aficionados, we provide intrigue, suspense and challenge for their investigative skills. For those who just want to have fun with dinner, we provide more hilarity than you can imagine!
What is interactive theater?
The actors perform, not on a stage, but rather in and among the tables. Often times an unsuspecting audience member will be pulled into the action. At the end of the second act each table has the opportunity to "question" the suspects. Each table then submits a ballot choosing who they believe is the "guilty" party. Prizes are awarded to the winning table and a drawing is held in the event of a tie. After the ballots are collected the "finale" is performed and we all discover "who done it." When you attend one of our performances you will find this to be a unique theatrical experience. Come and discover what everyone is talking about!
How long is the show?
Doors open on Friday and Saturday at 7 pm. Our production starts at 8 pm. Depending on audience participation our show normally runs about 1 1/2 hours.
